One Piece chapter 1129 is just around the corner, which means the adventure of the Straw Hat Pirates is most likely going to continue in the already ongoing Elbaf arc. Fans have been waiting for this arc for decades now, and now, One Piece has finally marked its beginning officially.
While we don’t have the full chapter yet, some early leaks and spoilers are starting to make the rounds, bringing with them an exciting and early inside look at the upcoming chapter.
One Piece Chapter 1129 Spoilers
According to early spoilers, the chapter begin with the cover story, which sees Yamato continuing her pilgrimage in Wano. She meets Otama and Shinobu in Amigasa Village in Kuri.
The upcoming chapter is a follow-up from Chapter 1128, where the Straw Hat crew is trying to escape from chaos. The “Sun God” traps the Straw Hat crew in an iron net, but Zoro and Sanji break it with powerful attacks.
We then see Nami using her map to describe the appearance and layout of the LEGO Kingdom.
Chapter 1129 spoilers also confirmed what the Sun God’s motivations for kidnapping the Straw Hats were, which were far from the guesses fans had. This leads into a flashback which is seemingly focused on the Sun God, also revealing that as “Road.”
Road is a member of the New Giant Warrior Pirates crew led by Hajrudin. Road previously appeared in the Straw Hat Grand Fleet cover story, specifically on the cover of chapter 898. This likewise reveals Road’s motive for kidnapping a portion of the Straw Hats; Road disagrees with Hajrudin’s decision to join the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, as seen at the end of the Dressrosa Arc.
It’s explained that the Thousand Sunny sailed through a “sleeping mist area”, which is why the crew was unconscious. It’s also the reason why Road was able to kidnap the Alabasta crew of the Straw Hats.
At the end of the chapter, Nami and Zeus strike Road with a massive thunderbolt, while Luffy smashes through a wall with Gear 4.
